I like to travel. So I chose travel as my topic. In this issue, I will write about onsen. Here are some of my recommendations for hot spring resorts.
A little bit about myself.
I traveled all over Japan.I love history, so I visited castles, hot springs, temples and shrines.
The hot spring resorts I have been to are,
・Kanto: Gunma (Kusatsu, Ikaho), Kanagawa (Hakone)
・Central Japan: Yamanashi (Hottarakashi Onsen, Kofu), Nagano (Kami Suwa), Shizuoka (Atami, Inatori), Gifu (Gero)
・Tohoku: Yamagata (Zao), Aomori/Akita (Towadako area), Iwate (Hiraizumi)
・Kinki: Hyogo (Arima Onsen)
・Chugoku: Shimane (Onsen-tsu Onsen, Tamatsukuri Onsen, Tada Onsen)
・Shikoku: Ehime (Dogo Onsen)
・Kyushu: Oita (Beppu Onsen), Kumamoto (Kurokawa Onsen), Miyazaki (Aoshima Onsen)
So without further ado, let me introduce you to some of my recommendations.

Quality of Onsen
I liked the quality of the hot springs in Ikaho Onsen.I especially liked the “Koganenoyu”. The hot spring was a murky yellow color.And It was a little slimy. When I got out of the hot spring, I felt refreshed and my skin felt clean.

I like two areas, one is Kurokawa Onsen. The other is Yunotsu Onsen.Kurokawa Onsen is located in Kumamoto Prefecture.And Yunotsu Onsen is located in Simane Prefecture. Both are small and perfect for a relaxing stay.
Incidentally, both have tourist spots nearby. Kurokawa Onsen is difficult to reach without a car. Yunotsu Onsen can be reached by train, but it is easier to drive.
Ryokan where I would like to stay again
The ryokan I would like to stay at again is Omiya Ryokan. This place is located in Yamagata Prefecture. It is called Zao Onsen, and is also famous as a place for skiing. Many people go here to ski, but I recommend spring to early summer.
There are places that can only be reached during the snow-free season.The “Zao Three Deities Tour” is one of them.Also, wild vegetables are delicious this time of year.In addition, cherry picking is also available during this season.
Back to the about Omiya Ryokan.The atmosphere of the Onsen was very nice here.In addition, the food was delicious.
In Japan, seasoning varies by region.Actually, my mother is from Tohoku, so the taste of Tohoku fits me.
I highly recommend this ryokan.

If you enjoy hot springs, Kusatsu Onsen is the place to go.First, you can eat and walk around.Second, you can view “yubatake” and “yumomi”.And ｍany stores are open at night.There are many restaurants and souvenir shops to enjoy.
